Stainless Steel Coil

Due to the advantages of stainless steel, stainless steel coils are widely applied to hotel ware, stainless steel doors, stainless steel sanitary appliance, kitchenware, household electric appliances (like stainless steel sink, stainless steel dishes, kettle, kitchen utensils, gas stove, utensils, construction, decorations and other purposes..
Why stainless steel coil is so popular in making these products?
Stainless steel can withstand very hot and very cold temperatures. It does not break like plastic or ceramic. Stainless steel may dent, but it will not shatter or chip the way other materials do. Stainless steel is resistant to rust. Rust may happen only when small particles of iron-containing metal have become imbedded in the steel. This situation may occur, for instance, if you use steel wool to clean stainless steel. Cleaning stainless steel appliances is very easy. Stainless steel, with neutral color, can match any modern kitchen décor. These appliances usually come in a high-shine, mirror finish, or a less bright, brushed stainless steel finish.
Except to residential products, stainless steel coil is also used in , air heaters, chemical processing equipment, furnace parts, carbonizing boxes, jet engine parts, boiler baffle plates, exhaust manifolds, oil burner parts, dryers, oven equipment, petroleum refining equipment and gas turbine parts.
Stainless steel coil is usually used as materials in making other products. Decoiler is often used to uncoil the stainless steel coil before process, so the coil can be cut into different shapes. There are two kinds of stainless steel coils, hot-rolled and cold-rolled ones. Different surface treatments are applied to stainless steel coil in terms of customers’ request.
There're several grades of stainless steel coils for customers to choose from, such as 201, 202, 301,304, 409, 410, and 430. The numbers shows US standard (ASTM) of stainless steel. Besides, we also have Japan standard (SUS), and international standard (GB/T). 304 stainless steel is the most commonly used materials. It usually used in industries like food, chemical, atomic energy, and upholster. You may find them on stainless steel tableware, kitchen products, outdoor railings, etc. 306 stainless steel can be used in food industry and medical instruments. It’s better than the 304 stainless steel for its corrosion-resistance. 409 stainless steel is the cheapest one in UK and US. It’s usually used to make car exhaust pipe.
The width of stainless steel coil ranges from 3mm to 1300mm, and the thickness is above 0.1mm.
All specification and standard above should be checked before purchase.
